Join us at College Terrace Library Branch for a performance with Andy Z, an award-winning children’s performer and recording artist! Andy Z will combine music, movement, storytelling and puppets to create an experience that keeps kids engaged and families entertained.

His performances have earned him high-profile appearances in Pandora’s Video Series, Pottery Barn Kids Stylehouse, and Austin City Limits Music Festival.

  • College Terrace Library Open on Wednesdays Starting February 22
    The Palo Alto City Library continues to expand hours at the branch libraries and starting next week, our College Terrace Library will be open again on Wednesdays from 10am to 6pm. (The library will now be open four days a week, Wednesday through Saturday, 10am-6pm.)
  • Board and Commissions Recruitment Now Open
    The City is now recruiting for positions on the Historic Resources Board, Human Relations Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning and Transportation Commission, and the Utilities Advisory Commission. Members volunteer their time and expertise to review items and make recommendations to the City Council. If you would like to contribute towards helping our City continue fostering recovery, make progress on city priorities, and further the city’s legislative process, please consider applying for these open positions.
  • University Avenue Streetscape Workshop on March 1
    Similar to the discussion held about California Avenue back in December, the City invites the community to give input and ideas about the University Avenue corridor. This in-person community workshop will take place March 1 at 6pm at the Downtown Library

Here are some recent announcements and news stories of interest to College Terrace and the surrounding area.

  • Fireworks after Stanford Baseball on Saturday
    Stanford Baseball will be hosting the Cal Bears at Sunken Diamond on Saturday at 6pm. With an estimated attendance of 3,000, this game may generate heavier traffic before and after the game. A fireworks show will commence shortly after the game and will last for about 8-12 minutes.   • Expanding Hours at the Library
    Starting Tuesday, May 10, hours will be expanded at all Palo Alto libraries. Our local College Terrace Library will be open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10am-6pm.

Library Service Changes Due to COVID Surge

Due to the Omicron variant, the Palo Alto Library announced some changes to their service levels, effective Tuesday, January 18.

  • Children’s, College Terrace and Downtown libraries will be temporarily closed.
  • Rinconada Library will reduce hours to Wednesday to Saturday, noon to 6 p.m.

A recent email to Library cardholders provides more details about these service changes, including information for patrons who may need to pick up items on hold. Learn more about current library services.

CTRA Meeting with Library Reps: Tuesday, Dec 14 at 7pm

On Tuesday, December 14 at 7pm, the CTRA will host a virtual meeting with representatives from the Palo Alto Library to discuss the College Terrace Library. Library Services Manager Alex Perez and Library Director Gayathri Kanth will join the discussion. All neighbors (especially those who love our local neighborhood library!) are welcome to attend.
